Here she tells her story of how she began her career:I knew that I wanted to work in PR after doing several internships since graduating in 2009. I applied to a company after browsing websites and discovering that the agency I applied for  had won some great company awards and work with fantastic brands.My background is very consumer based, so I was slightly nervous about my interview, as the company I applied with has lots of business and technology clients, so I was worried I would struggle to get the position.But this hasn’t been a problem and I’ve never felt out of my depth, I fit in perfectly.I’ve definitely faced challenges, but because of the team, I’ve been able to develop the skills needed to be successful in the industry.When I was interviewing, the most important aspect for me was to feel comfortable in my new job and with the people I work with, so I could really become part of a team.This was instantly the case with Firefly and from the outset I got along with everyone and the office is extremely sociable. I love it.I also work in the centre of Dallas, so come lunch time the choice of local eateries to treat myself with is amazing, and I can also go shopping in my break as well.

We also have a brilliant out of work social life, so we often meet up at the weekend to play sports and enjoy nights out, picking a career in PR is the best thing I have ever done.
